DINA HAWTHORNE
Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Dina Hawthorne is an Author, Educator, Integrative Health and Wellness Coach, Mental Health and Food Allergy and Asthma Advocate, Multifaceted singer/songwriter, President of The Elijah-Alavi Foundation, an Emmy Award recipient, and the Founder of G.A.M.E ®, which is a lifestyle brand offering products and services focused on aligning the mind, body, and spirit.
Dina’s love of music first inspired G.A.M.E; her voice and words were tools she would use when faced with challenges to uplift her spirits. Unexpectedly, she would experience a horrific tragedy that would alter her world and undergo a healing journey that is incomparable to past hardships. In the Fall 2017, Dina’s 3-year-old son, Elijah-Alavi, was cut short due to negligence when a daycare provider gave him a grilled cheese sandwich despite his known dairy allergy.
During this time, Dina suffered from depression, anxiety, and other mental challenges that encroached on her spirit. However, with time, support, and love from her eldest son, Sebastin, close family, and faith, she regained the courage to allow the healing process to begin.
Dina would find herself through her music again, using this as a foundation to connect with her son and motivate others through a feel-good movement. She would also embark on an altruistic journey alongside her support system, advocating for the only legislation that would protect other children known as Elijah’s Law, which now requires all child day care programs in New York to follow guidelines for preventing and responding to food allergy anaphylaxis.
More confident than ever, Dina is ready to introduce artistry as a form of healing for others who may be working through grief or other life challenges.
